The singing trio of Redeemed Quartet presents a beautiful music video of ‘Without Him.’
Josh Koble, the bass singer, was leading on the lead vocals for this song with Nate and Caleb on the harmony.
The song has been filmed in Potawatomi Wildlife Park that adds a scenic background to the song.
Redeemed Quartet says on their official YouTube channel, “Exactly seven years ago, we started on this journey of song, and God has led us along some exciting paths! Yet as great as this adventure has been, we truly can say “Without Him” how lost we would be!”
Mylon Le Fevre was born into the Southern Gospel singing family of Eva Mae and Urias LeFevre. He started to sing and play guitar with the group and at age 17, Mylon Le Fevre wrote his first song, ‘Without Him.’
Without him, I could do nothing
Without him, I’d surely fail
Without him, I would be drifting
Like a ship without a sail
While he was stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and the LeFevre’s were performing at a gospel convention in Memphis, Mylon hitchhiked over 600 miles to get there and sang on stage, “Without Him”, he wasn’t aware that Elvis Presley was there. Elvis asked to meet LeFevre after the show.
Jesus
Oh Jesus
Do you know him today?
Do not turn him away
Oh Jesus
Oh Jesus
Without him, how lost I would be
Soon, Elvis recorded the song for his album, How Great Thou Art, and within the next year, over a hundred artists recorded his song.
Without him, I would be dying
Without him, I’d be enslaved
Without him, life would be hopeless
But with Jesus, thank God I’m saved
LeFevre said that it took 20 minutes to write the song and it produced an initial royalty check of approximately $90,000 which he used to buy his first car, a Chevrolet Corvette.
Jesus
Oh Jesus
Do you know him today?
Do not turn him away
Oh Jesus
Oh Jesus
Without him, how lost I would be
Mylon Lefevre founded the Christian rock band Mylon and Broken Heart in 1981 and in 1988 they received a Grammy for Best Gospel Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for their album Crack the Sky.
Today as Redeemed Quartet presents a beautiful rendition of the song “Without Him,” we cannot imagine life without God, we would indeed be so hopeless and miserable without His love and mercy on our lives.
