This Christmas song paints a vivid picture of the birth of Jesus in our minds through its melodious tune and lyrics.

What Child is this
Who laid to rest
On Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?

This Christmas carol was written by William Chatterton Dix in 1865. Since then, it has been covered by many popular artists.

So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh,
Come Peasant, King to own Him
The King of Kings salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.

Today, the family music group The Petersens is spreading the joy of Christmas through a wonderful rendition of ‘What Child Is This.’

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
