A group of talented musicians touched hearts with their instrumental rendition of ‘What A Friend We Have in Jesus’ at Lazy Time Pickin’ Parlor, a music store in Weber City, Virginia.
Each musician added their own unique style to create a beautiful worship experience. The familiar melody of ‘What A Friend We Have in Jesus’ filled the room with its timeless message.
Joseph Scriven wrote this beloved hymn in 1855 as a poem to comfort his mother. Its lyrics remind us of Christ’s faithful friendship and the gift of prayer.
People who watched the performance shared how it moved them.
One listener said, “It is not the sheer number of instruments used but the Spirit of God working in harmony with in worship. Thank God.”
Another person reflected, “I was taken back to my youth when I was singing this song in my church more than a half century ago. Now I am old and my heart still sings ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’. What a friend and Lord indeed! Thank you and the good Lord richly bless you.”
