In Johannesburg, a father-daughter duo is gaining attention for their musical performances.
Adrian and Emma-Jean Galliard perform at different events and even host small concerts at their home. Despite being just 15 years old, Emma-Jean has a mature and strong voice that works well with her father’s.
They enjoy singing a variety of music, covering everything from classical tunes to today’s hits, and they’ve even created some original songs. Their YouTube channel features a number of performances, including songs like ‘When I Fall In Love,’ ‘From a Distance,’ and ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina.’ Their version of ‘Up Where We Belong’ is particularly noteworthy.
This song was first made famous by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes for the 1982 movie “An Officer and a Gentleman.” Then, in 1984, BeBe and CeCe Winans recorded a Christian version of the song
Listeners have responded positively to their music. Comments on their performances often praise how well their voices match and the emotional depth of their music. One comment reads, “Very beautiful harmony” Another says, “Emma-Jean sound so mature for her age, she has an amazing talent”
When we feel at our lowest, God’s immense love lifts us. He gives us the strength to soar like eagles.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
