Talented a cappella group Kings Return performs a beautiful cover of the classic hymn ‘The Old Rugged Cross.’
We are all blessed with unique talents given by God. How we choose to use these gifts is entirely up to us, but we must remember that we will ultimately answer to Him for our choices. Did we use our talents to bring glory and honor to His name? Did we help to build and grow the Kingdom of God?
Kings Return, an a cappella group, showcases their God-given talent through their harmonious voices in a heartfelt performance of ‘The Old Rugged Cross.’
‘The Old Rugged Cross’ was written by George Bennard in 1912. The hymn has been a favorite for many generations. Its lyrics powerfully capture the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ, who suffered and died on the cross for our sins. The opening verse is particularly memorable:
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.
Some classic Christian hymns like this never lose their meaning or emotional impact, no matter how many times they are heard. Their powerful messages continue to inspire and move people.
Kings Return’s version of this hymn shows their vocal skill and dedication to God. Their voices bring the lyrics to life and remind us of Jesus’ love and sacrifice.
