‘The Helping Word’ By Fountainview Academy Is So Uplifting And Encouraging

The students of Fountainview Academy sing a beautiful rendition of ‘The Helping Word.’

The Helping Word Fountainview Academy

The song was composed by F.E. Belden who was born in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1858 and began writing music after moving to California with his family.

If any little word of mine
May make a dark life brighter,
If any little song of mine
May make a sad heart lighter.

F. E. Belden wrote many hymn tunes, gospel songs, in the early years of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He donated his papers and manuscripts to the church’s seminary when he died on December 2, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Chorus:
God help me speak the helping word,
And sweeten it with singing.
And drop it in some lonely vale,
To set the echoes ringing.

Today as Fountainview Academy sings this beautiful cover we feel uplifted and encouraged in our spirit.

Verse of the Day

“The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”

Romans 13:9-10
