Nothing compares to the genuine love and concern a big brother has for his younger siblings. This was clearly demonstrated when a 15-year-old boy in Brazil risked his own life to save his 3-year-old sister.
A video of the incident has been circulating on social media, showing the boy sprinting across the road to rescue his sister from being hit by a car after she ran into the street without looking.
The video, captured by a shop’s security camera, is not for the faint-hearted. It shows the little girl dashing onto the road in the path of a speeding car, but her alert brother sprinted just in time to save her life.
“At the time, we didn’t grasp the scale of what had happened, but when I reviewed the camera footage, my legs went weak, and my eyes filled with tears because he’d saved the girl’s life,” said shop owner Alex da Silva Marques. “It was cinematic, a heroic act. That girl was born again.”
Psalm 17:7-8 says, “Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings.“
