This Taco Bell Cashier Also Serves Inspiration Along With Customer Orders

A Taco Bell employee is setting an example for others to follow by serving up little doses of inspiration along with her customer orders.

Kelly Stewart, 27, has been working as a cashier at Taco Bell in Camillus, New York for the last four months, but in this small time period she has managed to garner plenty of praise from her customers.

She started receiving an outpouring of praise since customers started publicizing her small acts of kindness on social media. This last month, she has taken the time to write inspiring quotes and encouraging anecdotes on the back of customer receipts.

One customer said, “I got this message that said ‘when you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot around it and hang on…’” she added, “It made me stop in my tracks and smile. Knowing someone took time out of their work or life to write this is another example that there are still good people out there.”

Since the last one month Stewart says, she has included hundreds of motivational messages in people’s orders. Her customers want her to be recognized for her extraordinary efforts by calling on Taco Bell’s corporate branch to reward her.

When asked why she does this, Stewart says, she does it because she “loves people” and wants to be a good role model for her 6-year-old son.

As she puts it, “I may just work at a fast food place, but you have to take pride in what you do,” Stewart said, “Especially with how hard today’s times are, it’s nice to put a smile on someone’s face.”

We appreciate Stewart for her efforts in putting a smile on other people’s faces. There is no greater service than an act of kindness.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
