As Christians, we understand that our time on Earth is but a fleeting moment. The Gospel Convicts, through their music, remind us of this enduring truth. They bring a reminder of our ultimate home, a place far removed from the turmoil and darkness of our mortal coil, where we will join our savior, Jesus Christ.

Staying loyal to the original spirit of the song, The Gospel Convicts have nonetheless introduced an unexpected and joyful twist. Following the opening verse, they add a touch of vivacity, increasing the tempo, which complements their rendition beautifully. The altered tempo adds a touch of excitement, capturing the exhilaration of moving towards our eternal home.

Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low, sweet chariot
Coming for to carry he home

I looked over Jordan and what did I see
Coming for to carry he home
A band of angels coming after me
Coming for to carry me home

The Gospel Convicts’ journey started during a Bluegrass music camp in the summer of 2022. This band of friends took their shared passion for music and faith and transformed it into a musical ensemble, striving to touch hearts and uplift souls with their tunes.

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.Philippians 3:20

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
