Susan Boyle Gives Tear-Jerking Performance Of ‘Stand By Me’

Susan Boyle blows us away with an incredible performance of the iconic soul song ‘Stand By Me.’

The Scottish singing sensation took the world by storm when she sang ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ on Britain’s Got Talent.

The song originally written by Ben E King along with songwriting partners Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The title is said to be inspired by a spiritual written by Sam Cooke and JW Alexander called ‘Stand by Me Father’, inspired from from ‘Psalm 46:2c/3c’.

Psalm 46:2,3 “Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
