Man Pushed in Front of Oncoming Train Miraculously Survives the Brutal Attack

A New York man miraculously survived after being pushed onto subway tracks in front of an oncoming train, in what can only be described as divine intervention.

The world grows darker each day as we see more violence in our streets, subways, and public places. God remains our fortress and protection in these troubled times.

His divine intervention became clear when Joe Lynskey survived what should have been a fatal incident on the New York subway tracks, proving that God’s mercy shows up even in life’s most terrifying moments.

Joe Lynskey, 45, stepped onto the platform at Manhattan’s 18th Street station after enjoying a New Year’s Eve brunch with his friends. Security footage captured the terrifying moment when a stranger walked past Lynskey and suddenly turned to push him onto the tracks as a train entered the station.

“I just thought, ‘I’ve been pushed and I’m going to die,'” Lynskey told ABC News’ “Good Morning America.”

Time stood still as Lynskey flew through the air. He saw the bright train lights and the conductor’s outline before he hit the tracks, striking his head on the ground.

God’s protection became evident in how Lynskey landed. A law enforcement officer noted that “By God’s own hand, he fell perfectly in the trench,” keeping him away from the deadly third rail that runs through the subway system.

Lynskey knew the danger of the electrified third rail. “If you touch it at all, you will die immediately,” he explained. “You cannot move. Don’t kick your feet, don’t struggle.”

Lynskey lay still under the train for four minutes, which felt like forever. After about 90 seconds, a woman heard his cries for help and spoke to him, keeping him calm until emergency crews arrived.

The rescue brought its own challenges. Firefighters pulled Lynskey through the gap between two subway cars. “They told me to raise my hands above my head,” he recalled.

“Two firefighters on the platform pulled me up onto the platform and I heard my ribs crack. It was unbelievably painful.” His injuries included a fractured skull, four broken ribs, and a ruptured spleen.

Even in severe pain, Lynskey’s first words showed his heart. He asked the firefighters about his 16 year old rescue dog, Leo. “I know I’m really hurt, I’m hurt really bad, but you need to help me get to my dog,” he pleaded.

Lynskey spent seven days in the hospital, with five days in intensive care.

God’s timing proved perfect once again. The firefighters who saved Lynskey had finished their subway rescue training just one day before the incident. Their fresh knowledge helped them perform the exact moves needed to save his life.

Police later arrested Kamel Hawkins, age 23, who now faces attempted murder charges.

Instead of anger toward his attacker, Lynskey chose peace. “I’m choosing not to focus on the anger, resentment or negativity,” he said. He keeps his pink Air Force One shoes from that day as a reminder of God’s grace.

“It’s a powerful reminder that this can all be taken away from you at any moment, and you have to keep going. Life is too short,” Lynskey reflected.

God shows His power and love through stories like this. He can turn what evil means for harm into a testimony of His protection.

While we cannot stop every bad thing from happening, we know God watches over us. His timing is perfect, and His protection never fails.

Let us thank God for this miracle and keep Joe Lynskey in our prayers as he continues to heal.

May this story remind us to trust God’s protection in our daily lives, knowing He stands guard over us in every situation.
