Though she felt secure in her current role, she sensed God leading her toward unknown waters. “I felt I was like a fish out of the water because I was going to a kind of area where I haven’t been before,” she shares. “And the Lord was pulling me in that area.”
In this season of doubt, God brought Abraham’s story to her mind – how he left everything familiar behind, trusting only in God’s promise.
This story spoke directly to her situation. God’s message came through clearly: “He said, ‘Oh see, I’m your Way Maker.'” These words became the foundation of a song that would touch lives across the globe.
The reach of ‘Way Maker’ has grown beyond what Sinach could have imagined. It topped the Christian Copyright Licensing International Top 100 songs in June 2020, with more than 60 well-known Christian artists recording their own versions.
The original music video has reached over 210 million views on YouTube, showing how deeply the song speaks to people’s hearts.
