Being away from one’s loved ones is a big sacrifice that our armed forces make, but one Splendora High School student was going to get a big surprise at school.
During a pep rally, their mascot, Willy the Wildcat, took off his head and it was none other than her dear brother Private Robert Skiles.
Private Skiles, had returned home on leave from the Army and roped in their mother, Cheryl, who helped plan the soldier homecoming surprise, and even involved the Splendora High School cheerleaders in it.
They then asked ninth grader Sheyanne Skiles to take part in the pep rally, and that is when she got a shocker from her brother.
