The “See You at the Pole” prayer rallies took place on Sept. 23, where students turned out early to pray around their school’s flagpole.
This yearly event is organized and led by students in the USA and other countries around the world.
The SYATP organization’s website says it’s all about – prayer and is founded on the bible verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14- “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
The event is held as part of Global Week of Student Prayer held from Sept. 22 to Sept. 28. “See You at the Pole” has grown ever since it started from a prayer meeting among teens in Texas in 1990.
It’s estimated that a million students from across the globe take part in SYATP on the fourth Wednesday in September.
There were private and home school students who also joined in the prayer everywhere all during the week. Students planned local events using tools on the SYATP website.
What a unique and wonderful way by SYATP to use technology and media to bring students together to pray together for themselves and their schools.
