Richard Goodall, a talented janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana, was doing a mic check for assembly when he launched into Journey’s signature song, using a boombox for music.

The students were clearly having a blast, waving their arms and eventually jumping to their feet to dance along.

Goodall has received national attention with this rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin'” and now he’s even posting covers of other songs regularly on his TikTok account.

After Goodall’s performance went viral, he got an encouraging response from Journey’s original vocalist Steve Perry, he commented on his performance, “I love this.” Goodall replied to him saying, “Love your music, sir!!! Thank you for commenting. This means so much to me!!! Thank you.”

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
