Beautiful Cover Of ‘Satisfied’ Reminds Us To Be Filled With The Word Of God

Fountainview Academy performs ‘Satisfied’ as part of their Help in Daily Living DVD in Kauai, Hawaii.

The words of this Christian hymn were written by Clara Tear Williams (1858-1937) and the music was composed by Ralph Erskine Hudson (1843-1901).

All my life long I had panted
For a draught from some cool spring,
That I hoped would quench the burning
Of the thirst I felt within.

The way to be truly satisfied in God is to fill your cup with Him daily with the “God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16) words of Scripture, because they consist of truth.

Being saved is when you accept Christ into your heart and commit your life to walking with Him. This is the salvation you are given freely by the grace of God. Your salvation never goes away. (John 3:16).

Fountainview Academy is a Christian high school based in southern British Columbia, Canada, where students come from all over the world because of its balanced approach to education.

Hallelujah! I have found Him
Whom my soul so long has craved!
Jesus satisfies my longings;
Through His life I now am saved.

As we listen to this beautiful hymn today we are reminded that our satisfaction and thirst is quenched only in Jesus Christ. Jesus taught the Samaritan woman at the well, that “whoever drinks of this water [the water the world offers] will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst” (John 4:13-14).

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
