An epic friendship has been formed between a sanitation worker in Oklahoma and a young boy which is inspiring thousands online on social media.
A post shared by the City of Jenks on Facebook, said that Aaron Mitchell meets up with a young boy regularly on his work route, the the boy waits everyday outside to greet the employees of American Waste Control as they gather trash in the community.
It says, the boy would wait outside “whether it was 30 degrees or 100 degrees.” It further read, “As a result, the crew on the back of the truck became friends with him and his family.” The boy would also bring him water and snacks.
City officials say that Mitchell bought the boy a new toy recycle truck, just like the one Mitchell works with as a token of their friendship. “Thank you, Mr. Mitchell, and the whole crew from American Waste Control, for making this little boy’s day and keeping our community clean,” officials said in the Facebook post.
This is such a sweet story of kindness shown by the little boy to the workers and we especially liked the part where Mr Mitchell paid him back with a beautiful and heartfelt gift.
