Redeemed Quartet, a Christian music group from Southern Indiana sings a soul-stirring rendition of the classic Christian hymn ‘Satisfied.’

God fills the empty spaces in our hearts that nothing else can satisfy. When we listen to timeless hymns like ‘Satisfied,’ the words remind us of this truth – that Jesus alone gives us what our souls need. The power of these old songs still touches hearts today because they speak the word of God.

Clara T. Williams wrote ‘Satisfied’ in 1875, inspired by the story of Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well. The hymn speaks to everyone who has tried to fill their life with things that don’t last.

Through its verses, Williams paints a picture of someone who looked everywhere for fulfillment – in riches, in earthly pleasures, in temporary satisfactions. But only Jesus could give the true satisfaction they craved.

The chorus rings out with joy: “Hallelujah! I have found Him Whom my soul so long has craved! Jesus satisfies my longings, Through His blood I now am saved.”

Redeemed Quartet started when two sets of brothers from the hills of Southern Indiana, felt God calling them to sing. They put in the work, practicing four nights every week to perfect their harmonies and learn the songs.

Their dedication paid off when they posted a video of ‘Just A Little Talk With Jesus’ online in 2015. People connected with their genuine style and clear love for the music. That video has now reached over 15 million views.

In this performance of ‘Satisfied,’ they chose a peaceful outdoor setting that fits the song’s message perfectly. Their voices blend together in the traditional quartet style, but they bring their own fresh energy to it.

At a time when many churches play mostly new worship songs, Redeemed Quartet shows us why these old hymns still matter.

In this new year, let’s follow the message of ‘Satisfied’ in our own lives. May we develop a deeper hunger to walk with Jesus daily, spend more time talking with Him in prayer, and share His love with everyone around us.

Just as this hymn reminds us that only Jesus can truly satisfy our souls, let’s make it our goal to draw closer to Him and let His love flow through us to others.
