The arrival of the red heifers in Israel has caused a renewed curiosity and an enquiry into the end times as prophesied in the Bible.
Jewish rabbis have approved the import of five red heifers from a Texan Christian rancher.
It may seem insignificant to an ordinary observer but to be considered a true red heifer, the heifer ( a young cow that have not had a calf) must be perfectly red and never put under a yoke, even for once. Even two hairs of any other color will disqualify it. Even its hooves must be red. Considering the strict requirements, being able to procure five perfectly red heifers is extraordinary in itself.
The perfect, unblemished heifers has been inspected and found ritually pure for sacrifice according to the Mosaic law.
In Numbers 19, God directed Moses and Aaron to get a red heifer without defect or blemish, that has never been under a yoke and have it slaughtered outside the camp and burned with cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet and use the ashes for ritual purification.
The importance of such a development is because the key ingredient to Temple worship is the red heifer. Precisely, the building of Third Temple, for which preparations for building has since long began.
The sacred worship vessels and priestly garments to be worn by the Levites in Temple services has been procured and over 500 young Jewish men, descended from the tribe of Levi, have been trained as Temple Priests to fulfill their duties of worship and sacrifice in the Temple.
The development coincides and relates to what is written the book of Ezekiel chapter 41 through 45 about the temple of God that will be built in Jerusalem. And many Christians and Jews considers the arrival of the red heifers as a sign of The Third Temple finally being rebuilt, heralding the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
The temple is being planned to be built in the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, presently occupied by the Dome of Rock. As such, it does not exist yet. But the arrival of the red heifers has escalated the issue.
Whether the temple comes down from heaven or is rebuilt. The red heifers provide the most needed sacrifice in fulfilling end times prophecy.
However, only God the Father knows when and how it will take place. Let us take comfort in what Jesus told his his disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14:1, 3-4 (NKJV)
Jesus is coming soon. Repent and believe in Him.
‘… that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’ Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
