It was a baby boom at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, where nine labor nurses are expecting, and due within months of each other.
Nine nurses at the hospital’s labor and delivery unit are pregnant at the same time, due within just months of one another.
8 of the 9 women posed together in front of the labor and delivery doors at the hospital, proudly showing off their growing stomachs.
One of the nurses, Erin Grenier says, “After each one of us started to say, ‘we’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other.”

They are all enjoying this happy phase in their life together at work, sharing their moments of ups and downs during pregnancy.
“It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together,” Amanda Spear said.
The babies are all due between April and July and they say that they will be there for one another’s deliveries as they are able to.
Congratulations to all these expecting moms, we wish all of them safe deliveries!
