Praise And Harmony Sings A Cappella Cover Of ‘Man Of Sorrows’

Praise and Harmony singers present a passionate a cappella rendition of ‘Man of Sorrows’ from their Resurrecting God collection. The song was originally written by Matt Croker and music was composed by Brooke Ligertwood and was part of the twenty-second album of Hillsong worship. The album was released in 2013, and reached No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Man of sorrows, Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid

Silent as He stood accused
Beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father’s will
He took a crown of thorns

Oh, that rugged cross, my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out, hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee

These volunteer singers of Praise and Harmony have rendered a powerful cover of this song this morning. No matter how stormy our lives are at the moment, we must never forget that Jesus died for us and bore all our grief and carried our sorrows. He is our peace and healing. He suffered for us so we could have the immeasurable gift of salvation. Hallelujah!

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
