Brazilian pianist Lord Vinheteiro created an amazing musical performance by playing his piano with two typewriters.
We often see pianists playing in various styles some sit backward at the piano bench, others play standing up, and some even perform while dancing. But it’s rare to see someone play a piano using typewriters.
Lord Vinheteiro showed us this unusual approach when he connected typewriter keys to piano strings, creating music in a way most of us have never seen before.
Lord Vinheteiro, whose real name is Fabrício André Bernard Di Paolo, connected individual piano strings to two typewriters in a creative setup. He used one typewriter for high notes and another for low notes.
As Vinheteiro began typing, a delightful Eastern European folk melody emerged from this unique instrument setup.
The interesting part was how he switched things around. On a regular piano, the low notes are on the left and high notes on the right. But in this performance, he did the opposite.
This meant Vinheteiro had to play the main tune with his left hand, which usually plays the low notes, while his right hand played the low notes. It’s like writing with your opposite hand while looking in a mirror.
Lord Vinheteiro isn’t just a piano player. He also plays the accordion and works as a sound engineer. He shares his music on YouTube, where many people follow his creative performances.
