Paramedics Goes Extra Mile To Fulfill Dying Man’s Final Wish

Two Paramedics in Queensland are winning praises on social media for their act of kindness shown to a dying man, after granting him his final wish.

The family of Ron McCartney called an ambulance to take him to hospital and to the palliative care unit. He is in a long battle with prostate cancer.

Paramedics Kate Hanafy and Hanna Hoswell arrived at the scene, and when they were told that Mr McCartney had not eaten for days, they immediately wanted to help him

Hoswell says that he appeared low on energy and tired and lethargic, so Kate asked him if there was anything he wanted to eat, and he said ‘caramel sundae’”.

So Hanafy and Hoswell loaded him up in their vehicle, and drove him to the closest McDonald’s and bought him a caramel sundae.

The paramedics say that he was rapt, and the sundae was all over his face, his shirt, and he had a huge smile on his face and his wife was tearing up because she was very happy to see him eating.

The man has said that her father has just passed away in palliative care, but her dad enjoyed it a lot, and it was the last thing that he ate by himself before he died.
