‘Only Hope’ Daddy Daughter Duet From Mat and Savanna Shaw Is So Uplifting

Mat and Savanna Shaw sing an uplifting cover of ‘Only Hope’ recorded in a church.

The song “Only Hope” was originally sung by the American band Switchfoot and was written by Jon Foreman for their 1999 album New Way to Be Human.

There’s a song that’s inside
Of my soul
It’s the one that I’ve tried to write
Over and over again
I’m awake in the infinite cold
But you sing to me over and over and over again

The song is not about finding love in a human being but is a Christian-themed song and speaks of our hope and true love in Jesus Christ.

‘Only Hope’ was recorded by Mandy Moore for the film A Walk to Remember and is included in her compilation The Best of Mandy Moore.

So I lay my head back down
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours I pray
To be only yours
I know now you’re my only hope

The viral sensation father-daughter duo Mat and Savanna Shaw have released their own version of ‘Only Hope’ and it’s so beautiful and uplifting.
