‘One Of These Days’ Reminds Us Of The Joy And Glory That Await Us On The Other Side

‘One of these days’ is a song about the joy and glory waiting for believers when the right time comes.

David Wesley’s cover of this song was originally done by FFH (Far From Home). He dedicated this song to his grandma who passed on last 2016. He shared that he could never forget his grandma’s last words. His grandma, Diane Kuitert, said, “Don’t worry about me. I’m 86, I know where I’m going.”

This song is a reminder about the brevity of life, every day counts. But, a greater joy awaits us when “one of these days, gonna walk the streets of gold that were paved for me.”

It was even made more beautiful by David’s great guitar playing skill. His voice perfectly complements the laid-back, chill vibe of the song. One you would want to listen to when you just want to relax and ponder about certain things.

One of these days
Gonna see the hand
That took the nails from me

One of these days
Gonna hold the key to
The mansion built for me

One of these days
Gonna walk the streets of
Gold that were paved for me

One of these days
I’m gonna see my Savior face to face
One of these days

Being with Jesus face to face is the greatest reward that awaits believers in paradise. The brief moments of joy, sorrow, victory, and challenges pale in comparison to the eternal joy that awaits us “one of these days.”

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
