This nurse went above and beyond what was expected of her. She adopted her patient’s dog to help him see his best friend while recovering from an illness.
Jennifer from Rome, New York, is working at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. One of her patients needed to give up his dog when hospitalized. He gave it to the Rome Humane Society.
The concerned nurse immediately went to the organization and adopted his fur baby. She probably knew that being close to his dog might help him recover faster. The mere presence of his dog can bring not only healing but also cheer to his days.
Lo and behold! The adorable brown dog finally met its fur dad. This pet parent certainly looks forward to seeing his dog regularly while he completes his rehab. Jennifer brought joy and love to her patient a few days before Christmas, making this season a bit special not only for him but for her as well.
Kudos to our modern-day heroes in the field of medicine. Thank you for what you do to save lives, especially during this pandemic. This nurse did not only help him heal, but also made him feel loved and valued.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24
