Two teenage girls wowed a California street crowd with their violin performance of ‘Nothing But the Blood of Jesus.’ Their talent and joy caught everyone’s attention.

As believers, we love seeing young people use their gifts to share God’s message. These girls remind us how music can touch hearts and lift spirits. They’re living out what the Bible teaches about praising God with our talents.

Karolina Protsenko and Avelina Kushnir, both looking no older than 17, stood side by side in pretty dresses. They played their violins back and forth, creating a beautiful melody. But what really made their performance special was how they danced and twirled while playing. It’s not every day you see violinists move like that!

The crowd loved it. People stopped to watch and record videos. You could feel the excitement in the air. It was amazing to see Christian music drawing such attention on a busy city street.

The girls chose to play ‘Nothing But the Blood of Jesus,’ a powerful hymn about Jesus’ sacrifice. Robert Lowry, a Baptist minister, wrote this song back in 1876. Its message is simple but profound: only Jesus’ blood can wash away our sins.

Watching Karolina and Avelina play, I thought about Psalm 150:4, which tells us to “praise Him with strings and pipe.” These girls were doing just that, using their violins to glorify God in public.

Their confidence stood out. They didn’t just play well; they seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. Their enthusiasm was infectious. It made me want to dance along!

This performance reminds us that we can share our faith in creative ways. We don’t always need words to tell others about God’s love. Sometimes, a beautiful melody can speak louder than any sermon.

The Bible encourages us to use our talents for God. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” These young violinists were living out this verse right there on the street.

It’s inspiring to see young people so passionate about their faith and their music. They’ve clearly worked hard to develop their skills. Their dedication reminds us that when we use our God-given talents, we can touch lives in amazing ways.

Even though they weren’t singing the words, the message of ‘Nothing But the Blood of Jesus’ came through loud and clear. It’s a powerful reminder of what our faith is all about – the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Let’s take a cue from these talented teens. We all have gifts we can use to share God’s love. Maybe it’s music, or art, or simply being kind to others. Whatever your talent, don’t be afraid to use it boldly for God’s glory.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
