The parents and the medical staffs at the hospital were in for a great and pleasant surprise when they found out that the twins share the same names as the two nurses who would taking care of the babies.

Lauren explained that the nurses had asked in the labor room if they had picked out names yet. “We stopped and were like, “Yup, we liked Emma and Julia,” and the room got kind of quiet. They all looked around, everyone started to giggle. Because we found out that the two nurses that were going to take care of the babies when they did come, were both Emma and Julia.”

Sharing the same delight and surprise, nurses Emma and Julia expressed their feelings saying, “I think we were just so excited, we couldn’t believe it. I feel like it is pretty rare to have that coincidence in general and especially with twins and two nurses. That just doesn’t happen around here.”

Meehan said: “Those two nurses will always be special to us and the entire team that took care of us that day with hold a special place in our hearts. It will be a funny story to tell our girls!’

The rare coincidence has made the birth of the twins all the more special and memorable both for the the parents and the hospital staffs, especially the two nurse.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
