Young Ángel David had never blown out birthday candles or heard the birthday song sung just for him. His mother worked hard to provide for him and his three siblings, but throwing birthday parties wasn’t something their family could afford. Each year, his birthday would pass like any other day.
This year, something beautiful happened when Ángel’s teacher, Casas Ximeno, found out his eighth birthday was coming up. She talked with a friend, and together they came up with a plan to give Ángel a birthday he would never forget. His classmates jumped at the chance to help make this special day happen for their friend.
