Family Sings Beautiful Rendition Of ‘My Hope Is Jesus’

Ron Hamilton’s most favorite song “My Hope Is Jesus!” is sung by his son Jason Hamilton, his sons-in-law Ben Farrell and Adam Morgan, and his nephew Micah Hamilton. The song speaks about the Christian’s hope in Christ, “But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in You.” Psalm 39:7

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness.
On Christ the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand.
My hope is Jesus – the anchor of my soul, the rules of this universe, the one who’s in control.
He saved me, and He will keep me till the end.
The Rock of my salvation on Christ I will depend.

My hope is Jesus.
My hopes is Jesus.
When darkness my savior’s face, I rest on His unchanging grace.
When faith is week and doubt is strong, I still lift up salvation’s song.
My hope is Jesus – the anchor of my soul, the rules of this universe, the one who’s in control.
He saved me, and He will keep me till the end.
The Rock of my salvation on Christ I will depend.
My hope is Jesus.
My hopes is Jesus.

The Bible speaks about hope being a “confident expectation,” or a firm assurance about things that are not clear and unknown. The righteous who trust in God will get help from Him, and they will not be confused, disappointed or ashamed because their confidence is in God’s protection.

The great songwriter Edward Mote wrote many years ago, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ, my righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.” Yes Lord our hope is built on You and no one less.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
