A mother’s love reflects God’s own heart. It is unconditional, sacrificial, and endless. From the moment a child is born, a mother pours out her life in countless ways, putting her own needs last to care for her little ones.

A recent video captures one such precious moment between a mother and her daughter Evie.

In a mall food court, a mother took time to share her deepest feelings with her five year old daughter. “My life got so much better when you were born,” the mother told Evie. “And I feel so lucky that God gave you to me five years ago!”

The mother then shared a personal memory with her daughter. She spoke about a letter she had written when Evie was just six months old. “I can feel the way you love me by the way you look at me,” she quoted from the letter.

“You are going to change people’s lives,” the mother continued, her voice gentle but firm. “You’ve changed my life by how much you love me and how well you love me. You’ve changed my life, Evie. I’m so lucky to have you.”

As these words sank in, tears began rolling down the little girl’s cheeks. Evie then leaned forward to share a tender hug with her mom.

As parents we need to make time to connect with our children each day. Our little ones need to hear how much we love them, what makes them special, and how thankful we are that God placed them in our lives.

When we share openly about the joy they bring to our lives, we give them a strong foundation of feeling loved and valued.

Like this mother showed us, our simple words of love can touch our children’s hearts in ways that will stay with them forever.
