A Christian mom caught on video joyfully praising God when she learns her daughter passed the New York bar exam.

The video, posted on Instagram on October 23, 2024, shows Williams, 26, and her mother Campbell, 67, sitting together as they check the bar exam results. Williams spots her passing score first and announces with excitement, “I passed!” becoming the first attorney in their family.
Her mother, wanting to be certain, asks Williams to move the screen closer. “You sure you pass it?” Campbell asks, peering at the screen with careful attention.
Once she confirms the wonderful news herself, her calm demeanor turns to pure celebration.
Campbell’s reaction flows straight from her heart as she repeatedly exclaims, “Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus!” while hugging her daughter. Williams, overcome with emotion, breaks into tears as they share this precious moment.
For Williams, a graduate of North Carolina Central University School of Law – one of just six HBCU law schools with American Bar Association accreditation – this victory carries deep meaning. Her mother, who moved to New York from Jamaica, now shares in her daughter’s landmark achievement as they build their life together in New York.
In her Instagram post marking this milestone, Williams wrote words that echo her mother’s grateful heart: “Thank you Jesus. Thank you for a praying mother. I’m officially a licensed attorney.”
