Mom Adopts Baby Girl And Learns She Is Her Adopted Son’s Sister

When Katie Page was about to adopt a little girl, she was surprised beyond when she learned that the girl was the sister of her already adopted son.

Katie had always dreamed of becoming a mother but due to fertility issues during her marriage and subsequent divorce she became a foster parent in 2016 of four foster children before meeting Grayson, a baby who was abandoned at the hospital.

She adopted Grayson on May 25, 2017, and he is now two years old. It was just a few months after adopting Grayson, that Katie received a call about a newborn girl, named Hannah, who needed a foster home and it became clear to Katie that she was meant to adopt her.

Katie says, “[The caseworkers] told me her story, which was really similar to Grayson’s,”She says, “I saw her medical bracelet and the first name of her mother was the same name as Grayson’s mom. She didn’t have a typical name.” But as the mother had lied about her real name, she wasn’t sure if they were brother and sister, but after Katie officially adopted Hannah on December 28, 2018 and conducted a DNA test, it was confirmed that the children are biological siblings.

It does not stop here for Katie, because now there is a 5-month-old who needs a home, and the child is from the same mother. Katie is planning to adopt this kid as well. She says, “I was a single woman in a four-bedroom house and now every room in my house is full,” Katie said. “It’s never dull. People ask me all the time, ‘How do you do it?’ I never thought I’d have three babies, but God doesn’t give you more than you can handle.”

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
