The couple spoke a word of encouragement for all of us on Palm Sunday 2020, which was unlike any we have ever experienced before. With self-isolation and social distancing in full swing, churches were empty across the nation.

Thankfully live stream and social media have helped most of us to keep worshipping from home.

Mark Wahlberg, alongside his wife, said, “There’s nothing more important than faith and family,” he said. “I’ve been very blessed and very fortunate. And it’s because of the focus that I put on my faith and on my family that has allowed me to accomplish so many things,” Mark explained.

“We still have faith,” the Christian celebrity says, “And we still have each other. So let’s stay strong.”

We agree that there is nothing more important than faith and family in these times of COVID-19. Today we may feel like the disciples in the boat caught off-guard by the storm, feeling fragile and disoriented, but we need to remember what Jesus told them.

Mark 4:39-40 tells us, “He said, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

Today as we feel fear and weakness due to the crisis, let us remember what our maker tells us, we need to have faith in Him and be still during this crisis and totally depend on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse of the Day

“While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”
