Police Fulfills 93-Year-Old’s Dying Wish Of Being Arrested

A 93-year-old lady in the UK enjoyed getting arrested, as it was her last wish after being a good person all her life.

Pam Smith, her granddaughter thanked the Greater Manchester police for granting her grandmother, Josie Birds dying wish. She wrote, “A big thank you to @gmpolice for ‘arresting’ my Gran Josie today,” she said. “She is 93 years old and her health is failing, and she wanted to be arrested for something before it’s too late. She has a heart of gold and thoroughly enjoyed it today. Thank you for granting her wishes.”

The Greater Manchester police put out a statement saying that they had received a request from a member of the community from the North Manchester division saying that it was their grandmother’s last wish to be ‘arrested’ and be taken to their police station.

Ch Insp Denise Pye of the city of Manchester division said that their focus is to support the community and were able to help the elderly lady tick off one thing on her bucket list.

The old lady was able enjoy the experience of what it was to be on the wrong side of the law, all thanks to the obliging UK police force.
