20-Year-Old Man With Incurable Cancer Marries His Sweetheart Hours Before His Death

At the tender age of 20, Tristin Laue was destined to not live a long life, he was a veteran in the Army, till he was diagnosed with a bad health condition leading to his discharge.

His health condition was not responding well to treatment and sadly, it turned out that he had a nasty form of cancer.

Laue had fibrolamellar carcinoma, a rare type of liver cancer.

The National Institutes of Health’s Genetic and Rare Disease Information Center explains, “Other forms of liver cancer are often associated with liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) which may be caused by alcohol abuse; autoimmune diseases of the liver; Hepatitis B or C viral infections; chronic inflammation of the liver; and/or hemochromatosis.

“However, FLC typically occurs in the absence of underlying liver inflammation or scarring. Thus, specific risk factors for this condition remain unidentified.”

Which means that physicians are at a loss to explain how this dangerous form of cancer is caused.

Knowing that he had less time on hand, he wanted to finalize things with his girlfriend, Tianna, and proposed on Easter — and she said yes.

Help Neeeeeded!! So Tristin had Mitch & I sit down with him few weeks ago & asked us what we thought of him proposing…

Laue received bad news a few days later – he was about to die.

With the present circumstances, the wedding would have been called off, but Tianna and the greater Waverly community would not let that happen. They got together and pulled off the wedding in record time.

Why? “He’s the love of my life,” Tianna explained. They did not waste time and soon the couple wed on April 27. Within five hours of their wedding, Laue passed away from complications from his cancer.

“He’s the love of my life,” Tianna said, “and even talking to my mom and everything, she said ‘Some people don’t get what you two had in the amount of time. Like, they’ll be together for years and still not have the same connection that you guys did.’”

“Make sure you tell people you love them, because you never know when you’ll be able to. And just make sure you cherish every day, even if they’re having a rough day or getting really upset.”

“I feel blessed to have loved and been loved by such an amazing brave man,” she said.

Our hearts break for Tianna and Tristin’s family and friends and pray for the peace and love of God to fill them.

Verse of the Day
