Residents of Kemah, Texas had been noticing a man who was standing on the corner of the street everyday for three years. But they had no idea about why he was there including Ginger Sprouse, the owner of Art of the Meal. One day, Sprouse decided to ask the man Victor Hubbard why he was there. She was told that he has been waiting for his mother to return and get him. He was homeless. Sprouse was touched by Victor’s story and she decided to help him. She started a Facebook page “This is Victor”. The page moved thousands of people and many came forward to help him. Sprouse became a full time care taker of Victor, she cooked meals, washed clothes and set up appointments with a mental health professional, invited him into her home. She created a GoFundMe page for him and it has raised more than $15,000 in just two months. Now, Victor is enjoying the beauty of life with his amazing friend Sprouse and he has also reunited with his mom.
