Man Turns All Four Chairs With Incredible Gospel Song ‘I Smile’ On The Voice

The Voice blind auditions have kicked off and in style, it was Matthew Johnson who wowed the judges and audience with gospel song ‘I Smile’ originally sung by Grammy winner Kirk Franklin.

“I smile, Even though I hurt, see, I smile I know God is working so I smile, Even though I’ve been here for a while, What you do? I smile, Come on, smile, It’s so hard to look up when you’ve been down, Sure would hate to see you give up now, God’s people, you look so much better when you smile, so smile”

It was coach Blake Shelton who first turned his chair when Matthew had barely begun the song, soon all the 3 judges turned around to see who the contestant was. But it was John Legend, with his church background, who Matthew chose eventually to harness his singing prowess.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
