50-Year-Old Man Has Priceless Reaction To Seeing Color For The First Time

Chris Smelcer was born color blind and has never seen anything in color in his fifty years of life. Most men with colorblindness are just color deficient, which means they can’t see color as well as a normal person, but for Smelcer, the visuals are completely in black and white. On his 50th birthday, Smelcer’s family surprised him with the gift of color – a pair of Enchroma glasses. After putting it on, he bursts into tears of joy seeing colors that surround him.

Verse of the Day

“[Psalm 18] For the director of music. Of David the servant of the LORD. He sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Psalm 18:1-2
