Teen Disappears After Saving a Girl From Fire, 65 Years Later His Neighbor Reveals: “I’m the Little Girl”

It was December 20, 1951, Kip Malone was on his way to a store in Newfoundland to buy butter. But he never expect, it would turn to a life saving mission. Kip heard someone screaming “Save the children!”. He quickly looked up and saw a grandma waving from the top floor of a home that was engulfed in flames. Without a second thought entered into the building and found a 5-year-old girl. He tried to take her off the building, but she refused to leave without her little sister. Finally Kip found her sister and brought the sisters to safety. After the incident they never got a chance to thank their hero. Kip moved to Ontario to raise his family and 65 years later he and his wife decided to move back to Newfoundland. Not long after they moved in, their new neighbor knocked their door to introduce herself. Her name was Margaret Fowler. After a little conversation, both came to knew that they grew up only one street away from each other. Kip shared his memory about the house fire. Upon hearing the story Margaret replied “I’m the little girl.”
