A little girl on her way to school left everyone laughing with her grown-up complaints about carrying her own backpack.
We all have days when we feel like we’re carrying more than we can handle. Even simple things like a bag or a list of chores can feel heavy. It’s something we’ve all been through.
A short video clip posted on YouTube captures a hilarious exchange between a young girl and the person walking behind her—likely her mum—as they head to school.
The little girl, no older than early elementary school age, marches down the sidewalk, clearly fed up with her morning routine. With breathless determination and wide-eyed frustration, she begins venting about a matter close to her heart: her backpack.
“You made me carry my bag,” she says, turning her head just enough to make her point. “It’s got a water bottle. It’s got an apple. Do you understand how much kilos they weigh?”
That complaint alone would have been enough to spark a laugh, but she doesn’t stop there.
Still trying to catch her breath, she goes on to describe the bizarre and, to her, unfair burden of her school gear. “It’s like a backpack in a backpack,” she adds, arms swinging as she powers forward.
As she continues walking, she explains that her day is more difficult than people might assume. There’s more to being a kid than just having fun. “School is hard work, you know?” she says.
The video shows something many of us forget. Kids notice everything. They speak up when they’re tired. They don’t hide how they feel. And sometimes, that honesty is what makes us smile.
