Kodi Lee who is both autistic and blind, touches hearts every time he takes the stage. Recently, he brought many to tears on America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League with a heartfelt song he wrote for his mom.
Before performing ‘Journey of You and I’, Kodi shared, “I wrote this song for my hero. Mom, this song is for you.” His song beautifully thanks his mom for her constant support and love. It’s clear how much his mom means to him and how she’s helped him chase his dreams.
During his performance, many in the audience couldn’t hold back tears. Kodi’s heartfelt lyrics and music touched everyone deeply. After finishing, he received a standing ovation from the crowd and the judges.
Simon Cowell, one of the judges, was particularly moved, telling Kodi, “You just be you because you’re the best!” The highlight came when Howie Mandel hit the Golden Buzzer, causing celebration with confetti falling from the ceiling.
Despite Kodi’s strong bond with Simon Cowell, a twist in the show had him moving to Howie Mandel’s team. This change sparked some reluctance, especially from Kodi’s mom, Tina. She expressed gratitude towards the show for highlighting Kodi’s talents and shared, “I’m just a mom. That’s what moms are supposed to do.”
