7 Reasons Why Jesus Wants To Heal You Today

You are a child of the King and healing should come to you because our God is a healer and a deliverer. he not only heals the believers but also has compassion on the unbelievers who are hungry for the “crumbs,” and pours out His healing virtue upon them as well.

Jesus-heals

Here are seven reasons why Jesus wants to heal you today:

1. Jesus heals us because He is compassionate

When a leper came to Jesus begging him to heal him, and kneeling before him implored him saying, ‘If you will, you can make me clean’” (Mark 1:40).

The scripture said that Jesus was moved with pity, and he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. (Mark 1:41-42)

Compassion led Jesus to heal that person and it is the same reason why he heals us today as well.

“Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?” (Romans 2:4).

2. Healing belongs to the children

One day when Jesus Christ was preaching near the city of Tyre, a Syrophenician fell at His feet, and asked Him to remove the unclean spirit from her daughter.

Jesus said to her, “‘Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.’ But she answered him, ‘Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs’” (Mark 7:27-28).

The Lord saw her faith and healed her daughter.

3. Healing brings glory to God the Father

Great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel. (Matthew 15:30-31)

Another time Jesus healed a paralytic man, and “When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men” (Matthew 9:8).

The crowd didn’t understand that Jesus was indeed the Son of God, but they were moved enough by what they saw and they all glorified God.

4. Healing fulfills God’s promises

“They brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: ‘He took our illnesses and bore our diseases’” (Matthew 8:16-17).

When Jesus healed the people, it fulfilled the prophecy spoken through Isaiah and the Old Testament.

Jesus Christ took all our sickness and infirmities on the cross of Calvary when He willingly died for our sins.

5. Healing confirms Jesus’s words

Jesus said, If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father. (John 10:37-38)

He was aware of why He was sent to the heart and came to perform the works of His Father.

Miracles confirm the spoken word of Jesus.

He heals to fulfill all His words to us.

6. He heals to show that there is power in His blood

The prophet Isaiah declared in Isaiah 53:4,5 “Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds, we are healed.”

His blood heals us and forgives all our sins.

7. The devil is defeated every time we are healed

“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8).

At the house of Cornelius, the apostle Peter said: You yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. (Acts 10:37-38)

Through the cross of Jesus, we can receive the victory in our health, finances, marriage, and children’s lives.

Jesus knows everything about you. He wants the best for you. You are His treasure. He even knows the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:29-31).

May the Great Physician heal you today and bring deliverance to you and your family.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
