Was Jesus Present During God’s Creation?

Jesus is the son of God, and His existence is right from the beginning of creation. However, many do not believe that Jesus was there when God the Father created the world. They think His existence began when He was born by Mary into the world, but the Bible clearly explains to us that He was present right from the creation of the universe.

Jesus during creation

From the Old Testament to the New Testament, the word of God reveals that Jesus and His Father are one, and they are together right from the creation. These reasons help us understand that Jesus is there right from the beginning of God’s creation.

1). Jesus Is The Word Of God

In John 1: 1, it says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Jesus is the word of God. This gives us the insight that He was with God from the beginning of creation. He is the spoken word of His Father, who is the beginning and the end of all things.

When the Jews started arguing with Him concerning the law of Moses, He told them that He was there even before Abraham was born. This is not common to say to the Jews, but Jesus knew who He was and where He had come from and boldly declared the truth of His existence to the people without any compromise. John 8:58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

His existence is right from the beginning of His Father’s life, which contains God the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. The three-in-one God existed right from the beginning of the universe.

2). Nothing Was Made Without Him

Jesus is all and all; without Him, there will be no creation. John made it clear to us that the creation wouldn’t have happened without the existence of the Son of God. God does not intend to make anything without the presence of His beloved Son.

God also planned that nothing that was created would be complete without His Son, so He drew up plans to save us through the death of His Son on the cross. Remember that the blood of a goat or cow cannot save us. Our salvation comes from the blood of Jesus, who died for us to redeem us from all our sins. Without Jesus, our lives are not complete, for He is the beginning and the end of our lives; without Him, nothing is made that was made.

3). He Is The Life And Light Of Creation.

Jesus is the one that gives light and life to all the creation, for in Him is life and life abundance. Jesus is the word of God, and at the beginning of creation, when the world was non-existent, God spoke life into the dead world with His word, saying let there be light, and there was light.

Jesus was the life and light that enlightened the world through Him; God’s creation received life and light to function in the image of God. Jesus is the one that brings the beauty of God into our lives. He gives us life and lights up our lives with the goodness of the presence of God. John 1:4 says, “In him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

Jesus is the light that shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. When you receive Jesus in your life as your Lord and Savior, His light will shine in your life, and no darkness can comprehend it. John 1:5 “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
