Jesse Hubbs started playing piano when he was just 5-years-old. Last spring, as a fifth grader, he got selected to participate in the New York State School Music Association all-state piano showcase. In his audition, Jesse wowed everyone playing Rachmaninoff piece and earned a perfect score of 100.
Jesse, a sixth-grader at Long Beach Middle School, is the youngest among 13 musicians who were chosen from 110 applicants to compete in the New York State School Music Association’s 2018 Winter Conference in Rochester on Nov. 30.
