The band that has millions of followers on YouTube is made up of Caleb Grimm, Chad Graham, Joey Stamper, and Spencer Kane.

The hymn was written by Judson W. Van DeVenter who was born on 15 December 1855 near Dundee, Michigan. He studied in the local village schools, and at Hillsdale College and later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and wrote about 100 hymns.

All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give
I will ever love and trust Him
In His presence daily live

He wrote that he had struggled between developing his talents in art before getting into full-time evangelistic work. When the pivotal times came in his life, he surrendered all and a new day was ushered into his life.

All to Jesus I surrender
Humbly at His feet I bow
Worldly pleasures all forsaken
Take me Jesus take me now

Judson W. Van DeVenter became an evangelist and discovered a talent hidden in his life that God had hidden a song in his heart, and he started to sing.

I surrender all
I surrender all
All to Thee my blessed Saviour
I surrender all

The song has been covered by many artists around the world, but today Anthem Lights have sung a beautiful acapella rendition of this popular hymn.

Jesus Christ calls all true followers to totally surrender to His will and the Bible describes it this way in Luke 14:31-33: “Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.”
