The Ball Brothers was formed in 2006, and their music is a balance of the old and new. Their songs appeal to both the young and advanced in years. “On the contrary, most places we go have a mixture of young, middle-aged, and older people. So, our music style and song selection is based around that blend. It’s great to see a grandmother and granddaughter worshiping together and enjoying the same music. We get to see that on a regular basis,” Daniel, their lead vocalist said.

The group consists of two brothers, Andrew and Daniel Ball, Chad McCloskey, their brother-in-law, and Rhett Roberts is their newest member. They aim to spread the Gospel and encourage believers.

This song which was just released a few days ago has more than 26K views on YouTube alone. It speaks about the freedom from sins that Jesus paid on the cross for us.

So long I had searched for life’s meaning
Enslaved by the world and my greed
Then the door of the prison was opened by love
For the ransom was paid—I was free.

I’m free from the fear of tomorrow
I’m free from the guilt of the past
For I’ve traded my shackles for a glorious song
I’m Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!

I’m free from the guilt that I carried
From that dull, empty life, I’m set free
For when I met Jesus
He made me complete

The song reminds us that Christ removed the shame, guilt, and snare of the past. We can enjoy a life of freedom and peace only because of Jesus’ sacrifice and victory over death.

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
