A beautiful story of love and dedication during these times of self-isolation and social distancing is emerging from the land of Israel where a 92-year-old husband made sure his wife of 67 years is kept well-groomed by helping to color her hair.
92-year-old, Ezra Shapira lovingly colored the hair of his wife of 67 years, Ahova Shapira, to keep her looking lovely even during the lockdown. The couple has four kids, 10 grandkids and seven great-grandkids.
Photos of the adorable couple were shared online by their granddaughter, Yael Shapira Avraham on social media. The image shows Ezra carefully applying dye with a brush to his wife’s roots as she sits in a wheelchair, with an old towel draped over her shoulders and secured at the front with a clothespin.
“In every situation, my grandfather is worried that my grandmother will feel well-groomed you don’t see things like this every day,” a translation of Avraham’s Hebrew comment reads. “The picture reflects everything.”
What an inspiration of husband-wife love these two are to the whole world, may they continue to take care of each other as lovingly and tenderly all the days of their life.
