Angie Sutherland Sings ‘How Great Thou Art’

Angie Sutherland is a popular YouTuber who covers classic hymns and Christian songs, today she sings an acoustic version of ‘How Great Thou Art.’ Angie sits on a porch in a rocking chair with her brother accompanying her on the guitar and they both produce an extraordinary rendition of this ageless classic.

‘How Great Thou Art’ is a Christian hymn written by Carl Boberg in Sweden, in 1885. It was translated into English by English missionary Stuart K. Hine, and he also added two original verses of his own to it. It was George Beverly Shea and Cliff Barrows who popularized the hymn during the Billy Graham crusades. It is known to be one of the most popular hymns in the world.

O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hand hath made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Angie Sutherland lost her dad in 2019 who used to play the guitar while she sang on her music videos but today her brother has decided to walk in daddy’s footsteps and spreading the love of God through their music.
