Jarvis Smith, who is working at DeKalb County Animal Services in Chamblee, GA noticed a man sleeping in front of the shelter and woke him up.
After talking with him, Smith realized that the poor man had spent the pennies he had on a bus ride to the shelter to find his missing dog, Tata. He was waiting for them to open the shelter to see if they had her – and they did! But his beloved pup was at their other facility. Smith paid for his train ticket to get to the other location and reunite with his dog. And the emotional reunion touched the hearts of everyone.
